Mickey's Magic!

As an engagement celebration for a couple of friends of ours, Dean had arranged for the four of us to have dinner at Club 33, Disneyland's exclusive club at the park. Little did I know that wasn't the only thing that he had arranged.

After dinner, we decided that, since we were all dressed up, we would go over to Mickey's House and have our picture taken with Mickey. When we got up to the door to see Mickey, the cast member told us that the group before us was pretty large, so they were just going to let the four of us go in as a group. That sounded reasonable since it was the Christmas season and the park was fairly busy.

We were escorted into the Fantasia Room (for those of you who don't know, Mickey's House has four separate rooms with different themes; that way they can get people through more quickly), and there was Mickey in his magician's outfit holding a pillow and his hat. But I was confused because Minnie Mouse was also there, along with a park photographer and a guy with a video camera. I thought that the park must be doing something special for the holidays, so I didn't think much of it.

The cast member brought Dean and me over to Mickey and Minnie and told us that Mickey wanted to show us a magic trick. The music played, Mickey waved his wand, and then pulled the hat off to reveal a little box sitting on the pillow. I still didn't have any idea what was going on until Dean dropped to one knee and started to propose. Thank God it was video taped because I didn't hear much with all the blood rushing to my head in excitement. It was the biggest surprise and I never could of imagined that this was how he was going to ask me to marry him.
